Langtang

Langtang

Duration: About 11 days
Trek days: About 6 days
Max. Altitude: 3800 m

Region: The Langtang Valley lies to the south of the Tibetan border, between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range to the south. It is easily accessible from Kathmandu and offers fantastic opportunities to trek and enjoy the amazing mountain views without the need to ascend to high altitudes.

Langtang is often considered to be the third major trekking area of Nepal after the Everest and Annapurna regions and shares many of the attractions of those famous areas - beautiful mountain views, a rich culture and facilities for trekkers. This trek can also be extended to continue through the Gosainkunda Lakes region to Helanbu, thus offering a different return to Kathmandu.

Trek: This is a short trek that allows the trekker to visit interesting villages, experience the beautiful mountains of the main Himalayan range and explore Kyangjin Gompa. The maximum altitude is 3800m so this trek is well suited to those who do not wish to trek to high altitudes but who wish to have a full Himalayan trekking experience.
