Tukuche Peak Expedition (Around 26 - 27 Days)
Mt. Tukuche is an almighty located in the western Nepal Himalayas amid the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. The peak lies north of the striking Hidden Valley and along with Kaligandaki River flows its bottom. The summit of Tukuche Peak also offers great panoramas of the surrounding Himalayas including the Annapurna Ranges, Nilgiri and also of the nearby villages such as Marpha and Jomsom. Tukuche was first climbed by a Swiss team in 1969 and total 38 expeditions were tried to climb till 2007, there are 19 team got successes including 72 climbers.The latest successful expedition team was in autumn 2003 from France on North West Ridge.
Due to its remote location and the significance of the terrain, the area is seldom visited by saleable trekking groups. Although relatively less explored, Tukuche is one of most exotic mountain climb in Nepal. As far as risk factor is concerned, the expedition to Tukuche Peak is regarded as ‘low risk’.Despite being a technical climb, it's nonetheless a favorite training mountain even among the prospective 8,000er climbers.
