Nepal is a landlocked country surrounded in each side by either India or China. Moreover, Nepal’s three sides are extended to India and one side to China.

 

It is specifically bordered by Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal and Uttarakhand states of India.

 

And Tibetan Autonomous Region lies across the Himalayan region of Nepal.

 

Nepal thus is located in South Asia.

 

It constitutes about 147,181 sq. km of area.

 

It is rated as 41st populous country in the world.

 In terms of Land Area Nepal is rated as 93rd among the world.

 

‘Mount Everest’ is the pride of the country which is the highest Mountain in the World.

 

It is also regarded as World’s 2nd richest country in terms of water resources after Brazil.
