Kathmandu to Sauraha, Chitwan by Road (Bus , Micro)

If you are in Kathmandu,Nepal and want to go to Sauraha, Chitwan then you will have two option, either to take a Flight or take a vehicle(by road). (What do do in Sauraha?)
There are many vehicles option to go to Sauraha,Chitwan from Kathmandu.
Options could be Local Bus, Micro Bus, Private Car or Tourist Bus.
Why should take Tourist Bus to Sauraha, Chitwan from Kathmandu:
- Tourist buses in Nepal maintain its speed and standard.
- Otherwise, local buses will just consume time by stopping here and there.
- Comparing the two price of tourist bus is also reasonable.
Road Trip Details from Kathmandu to Sauraha,Chitwan:
Distance between Kathmandu and Sauraha : Sauraha is almost 140KM away from Kathmandu. It will take on an average 6-8 Hours to reach there.(if there is normal traffic in road)
Bus Timing from Kathmandu to Sauraha: Most of the tourist buses will start operating around 7:00 AM in the morning from Kathmandu ( Tej Bhawan) area. Local buses and Micro buses will start from Naya Bus park area or Kalanki chowk.
Kathmandu to Sauraha Route:
Here is the route: Kathmandu to Sauraha
Kathmandu- Thankot-Naubise-Malekhu-Manakamana(Cable Car Station) - Mugling.
Mugling is in between Kathmandu to Sauraha, from there, it has two road diversion, One will take you to Narayanghat ( from where People can go to Chitwan, Sauraha, Nepaljung, Butwal, Sunauli Border) and another one will take you to Pokhara.
Mugling-Sauraha new Road status: The Road Construction from Muging to Narayanghat has been completed now it can be covered in 30-40 mins bus ride.
The Road from Mugling to Sauraha will have less traffic as many of the vehicles will be diverted towards Pokhara. The major place where traffic gets stuck is at the beginning from Kathmandu to Thankot. Due to the road construction, there is a chance of having a traffic jam.

Accomodation and Hotels during bus ride:
There are many hotels available on the way and most of the buses will stop at two or three places.
1. Near to Naubise: To have a quick Tea break and light snacks like egg , chips etc.
2. Near Malekhu: To have a lunch/meal.
