Jhule Resort a nice weekend holiday destination is situated few Kilometers away from the Sankhu village. Which is now also know as Mini Illam.

Where it is:
Jhule Resort is located at a distance of about 27 kilometers away from the Kathmandu city. To reach there we need to ride through way of Bouddha to Jorpati-Shakhu-Jharsing Pauwa-Chauki Bhanjyang and Jhule. Jhule is situated at the top between Nagarkot and Shivapuri hills. Jhule mountain resort sits at an elevation of 2,050 meters.

How to reach:
We can opt for local bus services or motor bikes and four wheelers up to Chauki Bhanjyang, which can be easily used. After chauki bhanjyang, we need to take an uphill ride where the road is not so fine which is quite slippery and dangerous. So, hiking from chauki bhanyang upto  jhule will be the best.

Things to prepare before visiting Jhule Resort:
As road is not so fine from chauki bhanjhyang, whoever going to jhule resort must be well prepared to walk. After crossing Sankhu, there is Under-construction Bridge on the way and the road is full of muds and is not possible to see a paved road around 400-500 meters. So, when choosing vehicle a genuine decision must be made. One of the disappointing factors of jhule resort is that there is no free internet connection (wifi) so, everyone must be well prepared for it.

Things to see:
The main things to enjoy at Jhule Resort are culture of tamang ethnicity, Seto Bhumi Community Forest, Bird Watching, and Tea Garden. Here, we can find different types of Birds. This place is really perfect for bird watching. It is nearby shivapuri and it boasts nearly 200 species of bird.
So above mentioned things will be useful if anyone is planning to spend weekend at jhule resort.

So here goes our story.
At around 1 PM we decided to move to Jhule Resort. It took around 1 hour 20 minutes to reach Jaharsing Pauwa. After reaching Chauki Bhangyang which is one of the famous chowk, we need to take out of road to reach jhule resort. The road was so dangerous that it was impossible to reach jhule in double load (in bike). Finally, Biker guys took the risk and started riding but some the friends did not want to take their bike upto the hill so we contacted the resort owner and they managed the parking area at the Chauki Bhanjyang. I must say 2 KM uphill hiking was an awesome experience.  It took us 45 minutes to reach the Jhule resort.  After reaching the resort, we took some rest and had tea and some snacks.  The weather was so good as it was raining the whole day.  The scenery view from Jhule resort was superb and nice view of Bhaktapur district can be seen from the Jhule resort. As the place was so beautiful we could not stop ourselves from clicking photographs. So, we spent some time in Photo-shoots. Then, we had some snacks and we moved to have fun with BBQ and started the fire. Jhule resort have cottage for BBQ which is really good. As it was raining, the cottage helped us to have BBQ fun with other snacks and of course music at it’s loud. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ party with music as no one lives around there except resort’s staffs and we had a wild party and shouted as loud as we could. We had our dinner at around 10.30 PM and started playing some fun games in resort’s in-hall. We were around 16 people and the space in that hall was spacious for us to play games and enjoy. It took 2 AM mid night to take us the Nap. The next morning, few us of woke up at around 6:30 AM in the morning and started enjoying the beautiful morning view.  We had our breakfast (which was too good) at 8 AM and moved back from there at around 9 PM. After about 2 hours of ride we reached the Kathmandu at around 11 PM.  Everyone went for this short trip was all smiles as the place and environment was so nice to relax from busy working schedules.
