On 23 November 2o13 Saturday morning me and my solemate visted one of the awesome place near Kathmandu, Lamatar Lodge at Lamatar. Lamatar is 10 Km North-East to the district headquarter of Lalitpur (Patan).Ryale VDC of Kavrepalanchowk district and Luvu VDC lies on the East and West of Lamatar respectively. Similarly, to the North lie Sirutar,Gundu and Dadhikot VDC of Bhaktapur and Bishankhunarayan VDC lies to the South.

Our journey began on my motorbike from Gwarko-Sisneri Bus Park and it took just 20 to 30 minutes to reach Lamatar Bus Park. To reach Lamatar Lodge we took left from the Bus Park towards Bhimsennath temple. The road was so rough but it took only 20 minutes to reach our destination, Lamatar Lodge. I recommend others to take a walk rather than driving to the Lodge. Walking from the Bus Park to the lodge is suited for those who want to have a short hike.

At Lamatar Lodge we did lot of activities like birdwatching, BBQ during lunch time and we took lots and lots of photos of the beautiful mountain range. We really enjoyed the view of Mt. Manaslu, Langtang range and Mt. Ganesh Himal. The temperature of Lamatar is slightly low that that of Kathmandu. So it's better to wear warm clothes during winter season.

The lodge was so beautiful with natural sauna, clean kitchen and rooms. Futhermore the owner or the lodge was very helpful who gave us good company during our visit. One thing I, infact me and my girl friend will never forget is the home made jam and bread given as breakfast at the lodge. I recommend that one who loves nature should visit this place once in his/her lifetime.
