The then Magar capital of kingdom ‘Tanahu’ which was one of the most powerful kingdoms in Nepal before the rise of the Shah Dynasty today is a serene and beautiful Municipality and administrative center of ‘Palpa’.


It is definitely a hub for cultural, religious and traditional context.


Kaligandaki River can be overlooked from the traditional Newari place which lies on the crest of Mahabharat Range.


Srinagar Danda calls for a great paranomic view of the Kanjiroba, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Mansiri, Ganesh and Langtang from west to east of Himalayan range.


‘Rani-ghat’ is yet another source of Tourist-attraction to the place which used to be a Rana palace years back to the history of the place.


A large ‘mela’ is held in Ridhi bazzar in ‘Maghe Sakranti’.


Lots of accommodating hotels are especially designed to serve tourists. Even home-stay facilities are available.
