Nepal voted among the top 10 Best Exhibitors at ITB Berlin 2013

Nepal Tourism Board along with 21 companies from the Nepalese Travel Trade industry successfully participated at the ITB Berlin from 6-10 March 2013. Blending the traditional theme of Hinduism & Buddhism, Nepal stall had the representational model of a huge architectural woodwork Pagoda showcasing Lord Buddha as a centerpiece. Promoting Lumbini, as the Birth place of Lord Buddha, the Nepal stall attracted thousands of visitors and of and bagged the title of the Ninth Best Exhibitor in Asia/Australia Oceania category in ITB making it one of the most successful fairs of NTB for 2013.
ITB this year had more than 10000 exhibitors from 188 countries promoting global tourism under one roof. The biggest travel event of Europe received approximately 180,000 visitors from trade, media and consumers. Capitalizing the unique platform provided by ITB to tap the European market, Nepal has been successful in putting across the message to all international trade and media that Nepal is all about the true feeling of hospitality; smiling people; festivals throughout the year; soft and hard adventure, air sports; meditation and many more.
Coinciding with the fair, NTB had organized a Press Conference on 7 March 2013 wherein the prominent print and electronic media houses were appraised of Nepal’s touristic attractions and services it has to offer to its visitors. Addressing the gathering, His Excellency the Ambassador of Nepal to Germany, Mr Suresh Pradhan remarked that Nepal’s history and culture are of equal importance along with adventure activities and appreciated the support extended by the government of Germany in conservation of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. During the conference Ms. Nandini Lahe- Thapa, Senior Director of Nepal Tourism Board made Naturally Nepal Presentation highlighting the upcoming tourist destinations of Nepal and shed light on latest travel trends of Nepalese tourism. Other dignitaries were Mr. Balkrishna Ghimire, Joint Secretary- Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviaion, Mr Prakash Poudel, Deputy Chief of Mission, Nepal Embassy in Germany, Mrs. Ujjwala Dali- Senoir Manager, Nepal Tourism Board and Mr. Dil Gurung, Honorary PRR of NTB in Germany. Authentic Nepali cuisine was served to the invitees during the event.

Ltd., Buddha Air, Euro-Asia Tours & Travels, Treks & Expedition, Himalayan Dreams, Himalayan Encounter, Hotel Annapurna / Fishtail Lodge, Icefall Adventures, Kathmandu Experience Travel & Tours (P) Ltd, Malla Travel & Trek Services, Nature Trail Travels & Tours, Royal Mountain Travel Nepal, Shiva Treks & Expeditions P Ltd, Soaltee Crowne Plaza, The Dwarika's Group of Hotels & Resorts, The Explore Nepal, The Malla Hotel, Tigerland Safari Resort Pvt. Ltd, Trek Nepal Int'l , Wonderland Travels Nepal Pvt. Ltd, Yeti Travels.
