FEASIBILITY STUDY OF REGIONAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT in Dang

Dang, July 25: The cost of construction of a regional international airport, said to be constructed in Dang is expected to be Rs 1.24 billion. A preliminary feasibility study carried out by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) shows this. According to member of the study team, Engineer Suresh Baral, there is a possibility of the construction of the airport in Narayanpur or Hapur VDC in Dang.A private company, BDA Nepal, carried out the feasibility study of the airport, it is learnt.

The report was prepared by the company taking two and half months and was submitted to the Authority two weeks ago. Deputy Director at the Authority, Engineer Mukunda Prasad Bhandari, said that extensive study of the report still remains though the report has come to the conclusion that the airport could be constructed there.

Bhandari said that works will be forwarded by carrying out extensive feasibility study now as preliminary study of the first phase has shown that the airport could be constructed and added that reaching agreement with the locals on the same also remains.
