Exploring new places has always been a fun, and so was for all the hikers who were ready to move on with all the strength, excitement, and enthusiasm they had to reach the Australian Camp.
We started our journey, leaving Kathmandu at 7.30 PM. Picking up some members at Kalanki, we completed our team of hikers and headed towards the destination. Listening a soft songs and planning a humorous jokes for one of the hikers was always a fun during the hours in vehicle, the day was no exception. We had our breakfast at Naubise and lunch at Aabu Khaireni. After a long and noteworthy journey through the highway, we finally reached Phedi at 3.00 PM. We started our hiking from there. It took us around 2.5 hrs to reach Dhampus. It was about to get dark there, thus creating a sort of dilemma , whether to move forward, or not. But as we were equipped with a strong goal to reach the Australian Camp that day so as not to miss the view of beautiful sunrise and mountains the next morning, we decided and proceeded to reach our destination. With the help of our cell phone’s light, we hiked through the dark jungle to reach the Australian Camp at 7.30 PM. We managed our accommodation there and had dinner. If you are planning to Australian Camp be sure that you reached there early in the evening otherwise you have to face the problem regarding to accomodation, it was difficult to manage in case of ours due to late arrival to the destination.
The morning we were dying to see arrived. The Sun was rising out to shower its evanescent rays on Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. That was a view not to be missed. The golden gloom at the chest of the mountains was amazing that make you forget all yours tiredness resulting to awesome feeling of nature. The beautiful mountains in the north and the steep downhill at the south, you can view from the camp which makes u feel what you say "Bindaas". We stayed there watching the view, drinking tea, and taking some pictures to capture those memories forever.
Every journey has its end and ours was no different. We departed from the Australian Camp to have our breakfast at Dhampus. Climbing downhill, we reached Phedi. The hike was memorable ensuing us to make that again.
The journey and moments will always be imprinted in our minds for a long time to come.
